Yesterday we were in recovery and reorganization mode, having gotten a great night’s sleep in a bed that wasn’t moving, and we took our time to get to the point where we left the hotel to walk around Denver.

We took the California Zephyr from San Francisco to Denver, arriving last night at Union Station, which is in the midst of a complete overhaul.  It will be beautiful when completed. The heavenly part of the day came from walking around San Francisco on one of the absolutely most lovely spring days we can remember.  Just perfect.  So it was a great day to start with pancakes at Sears – a great old-time restaurant on Union Square.

It’s still winter, as this shot just taken of our garden will attest.  But yesterday it was nice enough to walk through the park over to the Metropolitan for a look at a new exhibit.

Ah yes, the moment all of America has been waiting for.  The nation’s attention is focused on New York (and the part we claim that happens to be in New Jersey).  It is indeed the day of the annual Puppy Bowl!!!
