Maryland, my Maryland

(I was actually born there, many moons ago.) Our first day out was smooth sailing down to the Eastern Shore of Maryland.  We arrived in Chestertown late afternoon.  It is home to Washington College, funded originally by George himself.  The town is beautiful – evidently one of those places that students often never bring themselves to leave.  Dining was waterside on the Chester River, and featured our first “real” crab cakes.  Yummy.  No funny accents yet, but huge magnolia trees.

  1. Sounds like a good start. Great pictures. Just remember when you enter the land of “funny accents” you will be the one with the funny accent. See y’all Friday. Gail
