Sigh. Our travels in France are coming to an end. And only someone completely spoiled, with four days in Paris to look forward to – followed by a month in the UK – would dream of feeling short-changed.
But we will miss the ‘other’ France we had never experienced until now. Paris, like New York, is its own special place and can’t really speak for the rest of the country. And what a beautiful country we have lived in for almost six months…
Today we dropped our friend Gail off at the train station in Colmar on her way to London, and we headed back to lovely Eguisheim for one more walk around this beautiful village, with bins full of newly picked grapes trundling by. A wonderful time to be here, and another wonderful meal at Auberge des Trois Châteaux.
Back to our two-bedroom, two-bath, two-floor apartment in sweet Epfig, where the three of us have stayed in rural luxury for the last week. Time to pack up and return our car tomorrow!
